Today we’re continuing with our series of Citizenship by Investment Program Reviews, and we will be talking about Bulgaria.

This is the first EU CBI program that we’re discussing. Many people don’t talk about this program, but in my opinion, it has lots of advantages.
I’m going to cover the upsides and potentials downsides, costs, and timelines for Bulgarian Citizenship by investment program.

As you probably already know EU citizenships are very good, as they open many doors for you and your family.
Bulgarian citizens can visit 169 countries without a visa or with a visa granted on arrival, which ranks Bulgarian passport 16th in the world. Bulgarian citizens can live and work in any country within the EU as a result of the right of free movement and residence granted in Article 21 of the EU Treaty.
Every Bulgarian citizen is also a citizen of the European Union. The passport allows free rights of movement and residence, establishment and employment in any of the states of the European Union, European Economic Area, and Switzerland.

  1. Hi there, years ago when the travel value of the passport was worthless, I placed my bet and was naturalized in Ukraine. I had a western passport so people at OVIR were wondering what the heck I needed the citizenship. The procedure did have a couple of hick ups but I was very well prepared. Nowdays I hold a residency in Bulgaria. Nice channel !
